Kevin! I have never met (or in this case, heard of) anyone else who shares my aversion to "wet bread," which I've always just called soggy bread. (I'm adopting "wet bread" into my vernacular immediately.) Yes, this includes French toast. And bread pudding, and biscuits and gravy, and sandwiches made a few hours ago (my poor mom had such a time figuring out lunches for me when I was in school). Oddly enough, it doesn't include dressing, but I'm not sure if that's a holiday exception or just because my mom bakes it past the soggy stage.
All that to say, I am delighted to hear of another "wet bread" disliker!
I just showed this to Kevin and he feels so seen, too 😂😂 Glad the two of you have each other to share in this ludicrous take about delicious things. LOL.

And I’m certain I’m going to be hearing about Kevin’s new friend Mary Ann next time I make French toast!

The next time my family gives me grief about this, I'm going to tell them about my new friend Kevin who agrees with me!
